Rod:
I received an inquiry from a client in Los Angles. He is looking for a
programmer to write a server and an operator interface for his embedded
app. Linux or FreeBSD platform, he does not care what the language is, I
suggested MySQL & Python or some other scripted language. I am already
doing the hardware design for the sensors and remote computer. Another
programmer is doing the embedded software in the sensor. The server
program has to maintain a data base of sensor data from a network of
several thousand refrigeration controllers located all over the world. I do
not think the software specs will be ready for a couple of months. This
might be a good project for a student.
< I am wearing my Chamber of Commerce hat and trying to get more high tech
work here in PT>
