Dear Chamber members:

Here is an opportunity for your Chamber to help the community 
determine the Hood Canal Bridge closure dates this summer:

This summer, the Hood Canal Bridge replacement project requires two 
78-closures. During the two three-day closures-one for each end of 
the bridge-the contractor will roll the existing span onto temporary 
falsework; and role the new wider roadway into place.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), in 
cooperation with the Port Townsend Chamber of Commerce, the Port 
Angeles Chamber of Commerce, and the Olympic Peninsula Joint 
Marketing Group, will conduct public outreach to ensure travelers are 
aware of the Hood Canal Bridge Preservation Project, its schedule, 
and the alternative routes available during construction.

Your input regarding preferred closure dates is important in helping 
WSDOT best serve your communities' travel needs, both business and 
personal. Please fill out on-line questionnaire by April 30, 2005, at 
www.hoodcanalbridge.com.
