Here's the week ahead:
Friday-Sunday, September 28-30, Downtown and Uptown. The 8th Annual
Port Townsend Film Festival. The Port Townsend Chamber of Commerce is
a proud sponsor of the Shop Locally Shorts Program. Screening will be
held at the Pope Theater, Sunday at 6PM. See you at the movies!
Friday-Sunday, September 28-30, 10AM, Jefferson County Fairgrounds.
The 28th Annual Cabin Fever Quilters' Quilt Show.
Friday-Sunday, September 28-30, Key City Playhouse. Key City Players
present, "The Spitfire Grill: A Musical."
Monday, October 1, Noon-1PM, Fort Worden Commons. The Port Townsend
Chamber weekly luncheon. Our presentation will be a forum for Port
Townsend City Council candidates incumbent Laurie Medlicott and
challenger Roger Weiner. Please join us for this important presentation.

Thursday, October 4, 11AM-8PM, Downtown and Uptown. Port Townsend
Main Street Program presents Port Townsend's Girls' Night Out,
special shopping event. This year's theme is "Hats Off to Girls."
Friday, October 5, 5PM, Port Townsend Golf Club. Sunrise Rotary and
American Marine Bank present the 2nd Annual Night Golf Tournament.
Proceeds from the event help support Jefferson County youth programs.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
It's SAT testing time again and we have 87 students scheduled to take
the exam on Saturday, October 6th, at the Port Townsend High School.
The Chamber needs 6 proctors to help administer the tests. The time
commitment is from 7:30AM to 1PM. All honoraria is donated to the
Jefferson County Technical Trades Scholarship Fund which is
administered by the Jefferson County Community Foundation. To date,
we have three volunteers. Please contact the Chamber office at

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!
Vintage Hardware, owned by Ken and Jane Kelly, have been approved by
the Energy Star Commission to give away Energy Star light bulbs FREE!
(recipients must pay the sales tax). Five boxes per household. Get
