Here' s the week ahead:

Saturday-Sunday, April 26-27, 9AM-5PM, Jefferson County Fairgrounds.  
The 7th Annual Jeffco Expo.

Saturday, April 26, 10AM-4PM, Cape George. The AAUW's 11th Annual  
Kitchen Tour.

Saturday, April 26, 10AM-6PM, Port Townsend's Union Wharf. The Cruise  
West's vessel "Spirit of Endeavor" will be visiting.

Monday, April 28, Noon-1PM, Fort Worden Commons. The Port Townsend  
Chamber weekly luncheon. Closing out our month long theme of "the  
working relationship between festivals and businesses and their  
financial impacts," we are pleased to present Centrum's managing  
director Keven Elliff. He will discuss how cultural tourism leverages  
the unique community assets of this region.

Our thanks to our meeting sponsor for April, the Port Townsend Food  
Co-op. "From the fields to your table, local roots own what you eat!"

Wednesday, April 30, 6:30PM, Fort Worden Commons. Fort Worden Long  
Range Plan Public Meeting. The second in a series of three public  
meetings, this gathering will include preparation of park-wide use  
and development plans, site and architectural design guidelines, and  
a business and operations implementation plan.

ATTENTION!

75 students have registered for SAT testing Saturday, May 3,  
7:30AM-1PM, at the Port Townsend High School. We need six volunteers  
to help proctor the testing. Please contact Tim Caldwell at 385-7869,  
or email tim at ptchamber.org if you can help. All proceeds are donated  
to the Jefferson County Technical Trades Scholarship Fund Endowment  
managed by the Jefferson County Community Foundation. Thank you in  
advance for all your help!

May Membership Drive - Bring a friend to Lunch
The Chamber is having a membership drive in May.  Bring a friend, new  
business owner, or colleague to our Monday lunch meeting, If they  
join the Chamber, your name, and the new member's name will go into a  
drawing for a fabulous prize - 2 nights at Chevy Chase Beach Cabins &  
Dinner at T''s.

The 2008 Port Townsend Wedding Show will take place the weekend of  
October 11th and 12th. Opportunities abound for local businesses to  
participate. Applications are available for booths, sponsors, and  
Open Houses as well as listings and ads in the annual Bridal Resource  
Directory. The Directory is given out all year long and plans are in  
place to market the Directory at several wedding shows along the I-5  
corridor. Application deadlines are in May and booth space is
