Here's the week ahead:

Friday-Sunday, May 2-4, all around town. Jefferson County Historical  
Society present the 12th Annual Port Townsend Victorian Festival.  
Visit www.victorianfestival.org for the schedule of events.

Saturday-Sunday, May 3-4, 10AM, Jefferson County Fairgrounds.  
Jefferson County Home Builders Association presents the 2008 Jeffco  
Home Show.

Saturday, May 3, 7:30AM-1PM, Port Townsend High School. SAT testing.  
Our thanks to volunteer proctors Ron Ramage of the Quimper Inn, Kim  
Jons of Centrum, Sandi Bird of Kah Tai Care Center, Mary Morrissey,  
Angela Herr, and Tim Caldwell for donating their honoraria to the  
Jefferson County Tech Trades Scholarship Fund.

Saturday, May 3, 10AM-6PM, Union Wharf. Cruise West vessel the Spirit  
of Endeavor will pay a visit.

Saturday, May 3, 5:30-8PM, Downtown, Uptown, and the Inn at Port  
Hadlock. Port Townsend's Gallery Walk.

Monday, May 5, Noon-1PM, Fort Worden Commons. Port Townsend Chamber  
weekly luncheon. Our theme for the merry month of May is "the  
business of education." Leading off will be Tom Opstead, Port  
Townsend School District superintendent, Mark Decker, principal of  
Blue Heron Middle School, and J. Piper, Port Townsend School Bond  
organizer. The ballots are out! Before they are cast, we invite the  
public to join us for a lively luncheon and hear three perspectives  
on the impact of the bond and its importance to our business community.

Monday, May 5. The deadline for all groups or clubs to enter the  
Rhododendron Festival Grand Parade set for Saturday, May 17, 1PM.

Wednesday, May 7, 9AM-Noon, Port Angeles City Council Chamber, 321  
East 5th Street, Port Angeles. The Washington State Tourism Office  
will present its preliminary six year strategic marketing plan. All  
tourism stakeholders and partners are encouraged to attend this  
follow-up meeting to review and contribute to its final draft. Please

Wednesday, May 8, 10AM, WSU Port Hadlock Spruce Room. For those who  
want more information from the Chamber's E-Commerce Seminar, or who  
were unable to attend, WSU Port Hadlock is hosting a follow-up  
workshop. Ed Jaramillo will conduct a session with attendees to  
assist them in getting started with ecommerce - building a website,  
understanding placement and gaining visitor traffic, in general,  
providing the "basics" as business people approach extending their  
businesses beyond the local borders.
