Dear Chamber members:

Here' s the week ahead;

Saturday-Sunday, June 28-29. 2PM, 7360 Center Road. The Olympic Music  
Festival opens its 25th season.

Sunday, June 29, 3PM. Chetzemoka Park. Port Townsend Summer Band  
Concert.

Monday, June 30, Noon-1PM, Fort Worden Commons. The Port Townsend  
Chamber weekly luncheon. Closing out our month of June theme,  
"Business and Marketing," will be Bill Wise, chair of Team Jefferson.  
Bill will share his and the team's observations and thoughts about  
economic development in Jefferson County. He will also provide an  
economic assessment of this year and a look ahead to the next.

First Federal.

Thursday, July 3, 6-8PM, Quincy Street Dock. The Port Townsend  
Chamber presents Concerts on the Dock Summer Series 2008. In  
partnership with major sponsors Peninsula Daily News, Puget Sound  
Energy, First Federal, Water Street Brew Pub, and Ancestral Spirits  
Gallery, we are pleased to present a free concert every Thursday  
beginning July 3rd through September 4th. Our first event will be the  
U.S. Navy Band. Our thanks to our stage sponsor for this lead in to  
the July 4th weekend, the Port Townsend Elks Lodge. Join us!

Friday, July 4th. 1:30PM, Fort Worden's McCurdy Pavilion. Centrum  
presents the Fiddle Tunes Concert.

Friday, July 4th, 4PM. Haines Place Park & Ride. Jefferson Transit  
begins shuttle service to Fort Worden for the fireworks show. Service  
concludes 30 minutes after the conclusion of the fireworks show.

Friday, July 4th, 10PM. Fort Worden beach. Fireworks begin. Launched  
from a barge south of the park's pier.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Goddard College's Port Townsend Residency Site is hiring a Residency  
Assistant to be available for work, July 8-19 and August 12-23 for an  
approximate total of 125 hours (daily schedules will vary).   
Residency Assistants provide overall support to the daily residency  
operations including: general office chores, classroom set-up,  
special event set-up and clean-up, assisting faculty and students,  
and running errands and transporting faculty and guests.  Required  
qualifications include: a valid driver's license, an ability to work  
well with others, and an ability to remain friendly and composed  
under sometimes stressful conditions.
