Dear Chamber Members:

Here is the week ahead:

Monday July 14, noon - 1:00, Fort Worden Commons.  The Port Townsend  
Chamber weekly luncheon.  The speaker this week will be Cmdr. George  
N.T. Whitbred IV, commanding officer of Naval Magazine Indian  
Island.  He will speak on the Naval Magazine Indian Island's Role in  
the National Military Strategy, Navy Regional Operations and the  
Local Community.  Says Whitbred:  Preventing conflicts is as  
important as winning wars.  Sustained peacetime engagement throughout  
the Pacific builds confidence and trust among nations.  As part of  
the Jefferson County family, Indian Island supports the ongoing  
efforts of local citizens and civic groups to strengthen the fabric  
of American society.

The meeting sponsor this month is Seaport Landing Retirement &  
Assisted Living



Tuesday July 15, 5pm - 7pm  Mixer After Hours sponsored by American  
Marine Bank.  Come enjoy and Old Fashioned Summer Picnic!
The mixer will be held at All About Escrow - 686 Lake St Dr., Ste 500  
(building behind Drivers Licensing Building and behind Frontier Bank  
in business park).   There will be burgers, hot dogs, potato salad,  
wine, beer and all the trimmings. Also - Prize drawings and even a  
game of horseshoes!



Thursday July 17:  Concerts on the Dock -  Thursday's band is Hot  
Club Sandwich.  Come enjoy this 3rd in a series of free Thursday  
night concerts.  This week is sponsored by Jeanette & David Woodruff  
and PT Computers.

The Concerts on the Dock runs thru September 4th in partnership with
