To our Chamber members and other interested parties, 

We would like to address an email that was sent Thursday by the Chamber 
Administrator regarding Thursday's interruption of the ferry service.  The 
email was written in haste and out of frustration.
We understand the need for reliable service and we hear the stress that the 
current situation has caused for many of our businesses, residents and 
visitors.  The Chamber has worked diligently with all appropriate government 
officials, agencies, task forces and committees to support efforts for the 
best solutions available.
There is no possibility of repairing any of the Steel Electric Class 
Ferries.  The suggestion made to the contrary was mis-informed.  We regret 
that the correspondence was sent, it does not represent the views of the 
Chamber Board or the Chamber Transportation Committee, we would respectfully 
ask that you disregard it.
