Quimper Sound & the Analog Lounge
Washington's Oldest Independent Record Store
Newsletter Vol.3 No.40 12/21/06
_____
Greetings from Quimper Sound & the Analog Lounge. No new releases of note
next week - besides, you need to focus on getting all the stuff you really
want to get with all the gift certificates you got, right? However, there
are still a few things to look forward to in next week's newsletter -
including our final year-end list of Port Townsend's 50 best selling CDs and
15 best-selling DVDs.
A reminder - if you are a last minute shopper, don't despair! We've got Gift
Guides <http://www.quimpersound.com/gift_guide.html> and Recommendations
<http://www.quimpersound.com/reviews/revhome.html> to help you find the
perfect piece of music for that special someone. And if all else fails, a
Quimper Sound gift certificate is one of the most sought after gifts in
town. Perhaps the only thing more coveted is a gift certificate wrapped in a
Quimper Sound T-shirt. Or perhaps a Travel Mug/Pre-paid Coffee Card Gift
Pack... If "when" is as hard a shopping question as "what" remember that we
are open late every night - 9am-8pm Friday and Saturday and 9am to 5pm
Sunday the 24th. Oh, and to help keep you warm, drip coffee is on the house
this weekend!
Last year I wrote the following paragraph and I think this year I'm just
going to repeat myself as the need for Peace - and peace of mind - is
greater than ever.
Now, I know everyone is probably tired of all the last minute shopping hype
and the rampant commercialism that only seems to get louder and more crass
every year. If you need us, great - we're here for you. If you're done (or
"don't do"), that's great too. Peace is not for sale. No matter what, our
wish for you is to have a great Holiday. Here's to you and yours - may you
have a joyful Hanukkah, Christmas, Solstice, Ramadan, Kwanzaa or just a
plain old relaxing weekend!
If you have any suggestions (or complaints/compliments) feedback is much
appreciated - keep it coming to: feedback at quimpersound.com - thanks! And
now, on with the show . . .
*Breaking news!* We just received 10 more copies of "An Inconvenient Truth"
on DVD! Paramount Pictures is out, but we found a distributor that still had
a few on their shelves and we snatched them all up. Get it while you can...

- Holiday Gift Guides-
Holiday Gift Suggestions from the Analog Lounge!
To Go! We have Quimper Sound signature travel mugs; Brushed Stainless Steel
with our new Logo. They have snap tight closure and thermal insulation, and
when you bring them in (just like any mug) you'll receive 20 cents off your
coffee purchase. They are Great for keeping your latte piping hot in the
cold weather too! Travel Mug $ 9.95
If your looking for an easy stocking stuffer or christmas gift, we have
quite a few choices:
If you like our coffee in the store, then take some home or share it with a
loved one. We offer 12oz bags of whole bean in the most popular varieties,
for drip coffee or espresso. We have a variety of roasts, as well as our
Cafe Feminino which is grown, processed and traded by women. If you don't
have a grinder at home, ask one of our baristas, we'd be happy to grind it
for you upon purchase to your specifications. 12oz bag $ 9.95
If you want to introduce someone to our lovely coffee bar offerings, or you
just want to give them the gift of reducing their weekly coffee bill, then
pick up one of our coffee punch cards. They are good for any five espresso
drinks and cost only twelve dollars. If you drank 5 sixteen ounce lattes,
you would save $5.50 in total! It's really a great deal, and also a nice
back up for when you don't have cash on hand. Pre-paid 5 espresso drink card
$12.00
If you really want to make things easy, get the beautifully gift wrapped
mug, with a 5 coffee punch card, all for just $20.00. This makes the cost of
the punch card a mere $10.00, that's essentially $2.00 per espresso drink of
your choice. It's really a great deal, and it's all ready to place under the
tree!
There are lots of other goodies coming in soon; amazing breath mints with
hilarious themes and an espresso lovers gift basket for any occasion (it
also makes a great hostess gift).
I would also like to briefly mention our new Coffee Spot service that will
be up and running very soon. We will have Air Pots of your favorite Coffee
available with all the extras (cream, sugar, honey, sweetener), to transform
any spot into a Coffee Spot. If you have a meeting to host, a party, or a
special event, let us keep everyone warm and cozy, and awake, with some
freshly brewed coffee from The Analog Lounge. Email me for details if
interested.
Keep checking in for upcoming events and new coffee deals!
Come visit us, we're always glad to help with gift giving ideas. And if you
need to just take a load off after all that holiday shopping, come in,
acquaint yourself with our big comfy couch, and let me serve you up a coffee
drink of your choice.
Happy Holidays! We look forward to seeing you, and as always we appreciate
your business.
