Greetings from Quimper Sound!

We took the plunge and purchased Quimper Sound on May 1st! Being our first
business, we have found ourselves a bit terrified, excited, overwhelmed,
overjoyed and even sleep deprived since deciding on the purchase. We
apologize for not keeping up with the website and newsletter but are now
getting up to speed and hopefully will be able to give the quality
information that Steve Wilmart provided!

Come on in and check out our expanded rock section. We have been
methodically boosting up our inventory and would love to hear your input.
With the staffs knowledge of all genres of music and Marks geeky obsession
with rockabilly, alt-country and garage rock we will be providing a lot of
new and old classic music to the store. Unfortunately (for Mark!), Mark has
also had to let Marie and their daughter Rachel have some input so you will
also find much more new current indy rock and older stuff they like! We have
also started carrying more jazz, country and rock concert posters (including
some signed and numbered by the illustrator!) and some clothing.

One of the first things you will notice in the store is that we have spiffed
up the vault. A little paint, track lighting and framed art can go a long
way. We have rearranged the store a bit by moving all of our classical and
jazz into the vault, and our used CD's and vinyl out into the front of the
store. We felt moving the jazz and classical into the vault would create
more of a serene and classy environment for the discerning music lovers. We
also plan on increasing our selection of vinyl and used products in the
coming months. 

We're excited to be here and would love to hear your input on what we're
doing with the store. Stop by and try something from our coffee bar. Hope we
see you soon!
